Our Local Missions
As we strive to be disciples of Christ, we realize that we can not love God without loving others. Accordingly, we are never without an opportunity to love and serve others right in our own backyard. We currently have service opportunities in the New Braunfels, the Texas Hill Country and Eagle Pass areas. Read about the missions below to discover how you can serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.

Family Life Center
5513 I-35 S
New Braunfels, TX 78132
The mission of the Family Life Center of New Braunfels is to connect temporarily under-resourced and/or unemployed residents of the community to the vast network of churches, charities, agencies, service organizations and corporate sponsors that provide programs that will enable those residents to become self-sufficient productive members of our community.
The Family Life Center of New Braunfels is a type of clearing house that receives applications from the under-resourced residents, interviews those residents and determines that there is a legitimate need in their application.
Upon determination of a legitimate need, the Family Life Center will attempt to meet the need of that resident with the resources of the Family Life Center. If that need cannot be met by the resources of the Family Life Center then that resident may be referred to another agency or organization.
Volunteers provide valuable services to the Family Life Center. There are opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved to make a difference for the families and children served by various agency programs.
Food Pantry Partners
Companies, church groups, civic clubs, scout troops, or schools are encouraged to join Food Pantry Partner program. In order to join, a group just has to agree to conduct a food drive for the Family Life Center once a year. The organization picks the month. The Family Life Center will pick up the food!
Adopt a Family Sponsors
Want to help make the holidays brighter for one of our client families? Participate as a sponsor in our Adopt a Family program.
Interested groups, businesses or individuals are paired with client families who are still struggling to make ends meet. They purchase gifts that make the holidays a happy time for families in need.
Clothes Closet Partners
The Family Life Center’s Clothes Closet provides good used clothing and household items to families in need. Open 4 days a week, by appointment, the Clothes Closet serves families in need and those referred by other social service agencies. Become a Clothes Closet Partner.
Volunteers are needed to help staff sort through donations and prepare them for display in the Clothes Closet. Volunteers can work during the week, M – F, in the mornings. Hours are flexible.
264 N Brazos Street
Eagle Pass TX 78852
The mission of Colegio Biblico is to prepare workers for Christian ministry among the Spanish-speaking peoples of the world.
Located on the Mexican border, in Eagle Pass, Texas, since 1945, Colegio Biblico (Spanish for Bible College) is a Spanish-speaking ministry school that prepares workers from Mexico, the rest of Latin America, and the United States for Christian ministry in the Spanish-speaking world.
In the 1990′s our student enrollment drastically decreased because the immigration service of the United States made it difficult for Mexicans to get a student visa. The trustees and administrators decided that a ministry school should be started on the Mexican side of the border so that those who could not get a visa would have the opportunity to receive the training in their own country.
Since 1996, Colegio Biblico has been operating Christian ministry schools on both sides of the border with Mexico. This way we can also provide education, room, and board in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Our teachers perform double duty teaching at both schools in Piedras Negras in the morning, and in Eagle Pass in the afternoon.
The new Mexico Campus is 8 miles away from the Eagle Pass Campus. The maintenance shop, the girls’ dorm, and the boys’ dorm have been built through the years and just recently a multipurpose building that houses the cafeteria and provides space for chapel and for special events has been completed
